Day 10 Of 21- Self Quarantined
Day 10 Of 21- Self Quarantined
03 April 2020
Dear Diary,
One thing I would like to tell you that I am not an everyday news person, in short, I really hate politics and don't spend much time reading news. But looking into the current scenario you can not avoid news from your ears and eyes.
This morning is a not like my usual morning, today the prime minister of India Mr. Modi will address the nation (in a video message) for the first time after he declares the 21 days lock-down. I was pretty excited to know what plans he has to overcome this situation.
As usual, I did my all morning routine, got ready and joined the live telecast of PM Modi's speech. PM Modi thanked the nation for discipline and the sense of service of people amidst lockdown.
He said to continue the lockdown restrictions, people and authorities have worked together and hence, each and everyone deserves a thank you. Other countries are inspired by the applause the country offered to its frontline warriors on March 22 during Janata curfew. It showed that we can fight the coronavirus together.
He has urged the countrymen to switch off the lights at their homes, light a candle or a Diya or flash a torchlight or mobile flashlight on April 5 at 9 pm for nine minutes. The light that would emerge out of it would show how we as a nation are standing together to fight this pandemic.
The government is really taking efforts to control the situation and we as responsible citizens should respect this.
And that is how my day started. I logged in to my laptop, did my office work and didn't realize how the whole day passed. I wish this whole thing ends soon and one fresh morning I will get up early, quickly prepare myself lunch, go out, catch a bus to office, and then share my lock-down experience with my colleagues.
Hope for the best.
Till then I will just keep writing blogs and think that maybe not physically but digitally I exist in this world and am connected to the people out there.
Maybe in a while, I will get sleep, so good night and take care.
