Damned

There was a celebration in the deep, dark woods – their Master, the Devil had taken birth in the human world. His first masterful act was to kill his mother – she died during childbirth. His father, in a state of shock, refused to see the child, and uttered the words – “Oh, May he be Damned”. And Damned became the name he was known by.

Damned was brought up by his aunt, who was labelled a ‘narcissist psychopath’ by many. She loved taking credit for everything good that happened around her, and was often sarcastic to Damned. She was soon lulled into silence by the equally acerbic Damned.

He grew up to the President of a top-level corporation, but remained highly insecure. He would set people up against one another, create uncalled for competition and conflicts and did not allow people to develop professionally. They had to remain at his mercy in some manner. He was a known sexual predator, as he believed human beings were toys to please him – in any way. Respect was a word he didn’t know – he just expected people to fall in line with his wishes. The employees who quit often wondered why he looked so angry on seeing the resignations. It was not good for him to let people escape his clutches.

He had placed high hopes on his only son. Somehow, the child appeared too timid in his eyes. He had all the support from his successful father, but had grown to be more dependent than powerful. On a fateful day, the son was abducted and killed, though the father had agreed to pay the ransom amount.

The abductor was arrested, and his confession in court was

“This was the only way I could hurt the monster. Power networks built around him are invincible. I could have done nothing to harm him. But I wanted revenge.”

Damned had spawned some more evil in the world.
