Christmas eve

Evan was ready. It was a special day. After going to church. This Sunday felt better. That is how Evan thought. Evan's parents were dead he lived with his elder sister July. 

Evan had a pet squirrel, which her sister didn't like much. Actually Maggie was very young when Evan rescued her. Their bond was special and very deep. They doted on each other. But as destiny would have it the little squirrel was killed by something poisonous it consumed. It shattered the little boy and his small happy world came crumbling down. But today on Christmas eve he felt better and a bit lighter.
