Brinjal's Dinner

Pumpkin family decided to invite brinjal's family for dinner. Mr pumpkin went to brinjal's house to invite them for dinner. He saw everyone is busy with their morning duties. Mommy brinjal is busy with cleaning the vessels, granny brinjal involved in making Garlands for God, Daddy brinjal drawn the water from the well and Brinjal is watering the vegetable plants.   They got shocked! by seeing Mr pumpkin in the early morning in their home. After a common conversation, Mr pumpkin informed the reason for arrival that he came to invite dinner as it was a part of a pooja ritual.

Pumpkin's family is reserved but they are polite and kind. They are good at heart. If they like people they will go out their way to make them comfortable and happy.

Mrs pumpkin is busy with cooking for the brinjal's family. Mr pumpkin procured things which are needed for cooking. Then he was busy with reading panchangam (A book where auspicious muhurta times and zodiac star signs predicted).Their kitchen is mud-walled but spic and span. The aromas, tempering flavors made Mr pumpkin mouthwatering. He is a foodie, he always loves to Invite guests which made Mrs pumpkin irritated, But she is a good host with elegant culinary skills.

Brinjal's family arrived two hours before the dinner, Mr pumpkin wished them .They gave water to wash their feet. Granny brinjal was in fast so she hadn't attended dinner. Brinjal's family brought sunflowers, Honey, and groundnuts from their fields.

Mrs pumpkin arranged a kusha grass mat to sit on. And she served a hot steaming tea in earthen cups with chakilalu (a snack made with rice and sesame seeds ).

Mr pumpkin and Mr brinjal start talking about the weather forecast and how it affects the crops and auspicious muhurtas in the coming month. Mrs pumpkin and mommy brinjal involved in discussions of their families. Pumpkin and brinjal had a chit-chat about their friends and hobbies.

Mrs pumpkin prepares authentic meals and puts a great effort to produce taste in food.she prepared "tamarind rice", "lentil Dal","fresh ghee", "obbattulu"" horse gram rasam" and " arrowroot barfi".Brinjal's family felt so happy with the pumpkin family's love and care. Mrs pumpkin packed some "arrowroot barfis" in " palm tree leaves" for granny brinjal then they left for their home joyfully.
