Big Belly

“Mommy, why that aunty has big belly?” asked five years old boy.

“Because aunty is having a little baby inside her belly.” said mom, caressing his cheek.

“Baby comes from belly?” his tiny eyebrow arched up in amazement, “did I come from belly too??” his inquisitive mind questioned again.

“Yes, my boy…” she kissed his cheek dearly.

“Did it hurt you when I got out from your belly?” his puppy eyes were gazing mom’s expression, which was making him more adorable than ever.

Mom nodded smilingly. 

“I am sorry mommy, I’d hurt you…” his lips curled down in cry.

Mom pulled him closer and said blandly, “But you know what, when I held you in my arms, my all pain just vanished in a moment. You were so little and cute and that was the world to me. It was the first time I kissed you.”

“But mommy, I don’t remember that! Was I awake?” his inquisitive mind got confused with ingenuous question.

 “No, you were sleeping…” Mom smiled and kissed him affectionately
