Anger Management
Anger Management
Richard Brown lived in the city outskirts with his three year old son, Peter and wife Grace. He had a garage and earned decent money.
One day he finished washing his new car and was taking a short nap in the sofa. Suddenly he remembered that he had not locked his car.
When he went out, he saw Peter scribbling something on his new car. He got very angry on seeing it. And in this moment of rage he went and smashed the little hands of his kid with an iron rod which was lying on his garage.
As Peter was bleeding profusely, his anger gradually subsided and he rushed Peter to the nearby hospital.
The doctors bandaged the wound. However one finger of the right hand was badly bruished and they had to amputate it.
As little Peter lay on the hospital bed, he watching his amputated finger and asked his dad innocently that how long would it take for his finger to grow back!
Richard said that very soon it would happen and came to his home to take some money for the medicines.
He informed his wife about the incident. His wife had gone to her sister's house and returned home soon after hearing about this unfortunate incident.
Richard was very apologetic thinking about what he had done. Just then he remembered that Peter was writing something on his car. He wanted to see it.
He was dumbfounded when he read the lines - "I love you dad".
The moral of the story is that we should have control over our anger. Unless necessary we should never get angry. It decreases the sense of judgement and in a moment of rage there are instances where a brother has killed his brother,a friend has killed his friend, etc. This all due to a sudden outburst of rage.
This story is a true story where a father maimed his kid whom he loved with all his heart. The father, Richard was later found hanging in his room. He committed suicide, unable to bear the consequences of his action!
