Everyone knows that a smile is infectious, if you smile to someone, the other definitely smiles back to you.

That smile, changed a life.

Veronica had a elder sister named Amanda, who didn't like her at all. Her every word seemed poison to her. Amanda hated Veronica a lot. This was because when Veronica was born, no one cared about Amanda and thus, from that day she started hating Veronica a lot. Whenever Veronica asked to play with her she would refuse her. Even she would make fun of Veronica in school. Even after all this, Veronica still loved her sister a lot.

One day, their father fell severely ill and their mother knowing about the sad news went running but before going, she told the kid- "Your father is severely ill, please stay carefully in the house and don't fight with each other". Saying this she went away. That day, the weather was not very good. It was a stormy day, and Veronica was really afraid. She screamed really loud. Amanda hearing this became really happy because she wanted to see her sister in trouble, but she acted as if she cared for her. She came running to see what had happened to Veronica. To her surprise, Veronica was so scared that she was crying sitting under a table. Seeing her Amanda felt pity on her. She called her and then comforted her. Now, Veronica felt secured and hugged Amanda tightly. That day, Amanda showed her soft side to Veronica for the first time. She said- "Don't worry my sweet little sister, Mama and Papa would come soon." Hearing this Veronica smiled. Her smile that day didn't seem poison to Amanda, rather it seemed full of trust and love. Amanda, seeing so much love in her sister's smile, was touched. She felt guilty of misbehaving and hating her sweet sister. She started caring for her sister. She made Veronica feel special and apologized her.

This is how Amanda's mindset about her sister changed with just a cute smile on her sister's face, it was a smile which made her love her sister, a smile which changed her life.
