You were my cup of coffee 

I looked forward to every morning 

I was your cheap mocktail 

You only drank occasionally 

 

You were my sunlight 

Who made my life brighter 

I was your light

You chose darkness over

 

You were my daily journal 

Whom I told every little detail

I was your failed  job interview 

You hardly ever communicate 

 

You were my cell phone 

I couldn't live without even for a day

I was your old video game

You played and threw it away

 

You were my box full of colours 

To fill up my dull world

I was your white crayon 

You needed only when you worked on a black sheet 

 

You were my denim jeans

Never out of fashion

Though faded and torn

I was your latest trend you followed only for a while 

 

You were everything I wished for 

And I wasn't even something for you. 

While you were my globe

I was just a tiny place on it 

You rotated the globe because you couldn't stick to one.
