#Winterdiaries
In the freezing, cold mornings
When the white skies kissed the grounds
And dewdrops danced on the leaves and flowers
Nothing outside was visible
The world is enveloped by snow all around
Chilled water, couldn't dare touch it
Even when mornings broke
Wanted to remain in the cosy, blankets within
At that spur, mom dropped into my room
With the simmering hottest coffee
In the big, beautiful, blue cup
In which a girl sat in the sombre garden of roses
With butterflies fluttering all around
Just as if peace descended everywhere, blissfully
Mom awoke me to a world of realities
And I was overwhelmed by her motherly affection
So pure was her love, no dualities
Similarly the sweet, succulent coffee
I sipped it through taking hours
She was perplexed and wanted me to finish it soon
But I wanted it to energise me for the whole day
And was licking it gradually
It was the purest coffee, I ever had
She gave me a hug and left
Every chilled morning she awoke me
By the same taste of her marvellous coffee
Today the cup stands in the transparent showcase
With its other worthy companions
On the dusty shelves look down dustbin disdainfully
Bygone days were old
And can't be replaced by other feats
How I cherish those days of my mother's selfless love
In a cup of warm, delicious, coffee
On a misty, cold morning.
