Wild Wild Dreams
Wild Wild Dreams
I'm caught up in these wild dreams.
From behind a cage,
I see them fleeing
Away.
I chase the madness,
Race with a pack of
Conniving wolves.
I do it all in my head,
While my feet still stand
On the ground.
I touch the moon,
Drink the sea,
Climb all mountains
Like Jack and Jill.
I want to make
memories and laughter
Like there's never been.
I want to run among huge trees
And chase the breath of a dying wind.
I want to learn all that there is to know,
See the best of our Earth as I need to grow.
I want to see a humpback Whale
Just once in my life,
Oh! How badly I'll grasp that day.
I want to see the northern sky,
The aurora resting in its lap,
And maybe taste a perfect pie.
I want to catch each fleeting dream,
Make it my own,
And paint it into being.
I want to shatter this cage I'm in,
Stop watching these birds,
Instead, flutter my wings!
