Where The Sun Shines
Where The Sun Shines
She tasted the ash, she tasted the sulphur,
All that was left of her world.
There was no food, let alone air,
All that they did was despair.
The tank that gave her the essence of breath,
Felt empty on her back.
She knew, she knew that death was near,
For her and for all.
And as her eyes closed to sleep,
She dreamt of the voyagers who had left,
To find a new world to make their hay,
For the spark of life was theirs to keep.
