The Land Is Rumbling

Cracks are forming

Tension below group rising 

Then a thunderous grumbling

Followed by an explosion, indeed deafening

Mountaintop is torn off, disintegrating

Out shoots a lava torrent, bright and burning

Thick ash, a rain of scorching rocks pelting

Upon the land ringing with the wooshing 

Fiery lava pouring

Down the mountainside it goes streaming

While life is fleeing

The land which this fury is ravaging, 

Destroying

The volcano is erupting.
