Unemployment

Unemployment

138

Amidst the hustle and bustle of the city,

Lies a shadow that's dark and gritty,

A demon that haunts our society,

A curse that's known as unemployment, oh pity.

The masses struggle and try so hard,

To find a job that can provide,

A livelihood for them and their kin,

A chance to thrive and feel alive.

But the markets are fickle and unforgiving,

And opportunities are scarce and few,

Leaving the unemployed in limbo,

With bills to pay and mouths to feed too.

The loss of a job is a tragedy,

A blow to one's pride and sanity,

A struggle that's not often seen,

A pain that's felt but not foreseen.

The unemployed wake up to another day,

With nothing but despair and dismay,

Their hopes and dreams slowly fade away,

As they wait for a job to come their way.

They watch the world pass them by,

And wonder why they have been denied,

A chance to make a living and thrive,

To break free from this unemployment jive.

The unemployed deserve a fighting chance,

A hope to live and take a stance,

A system that supports their plight,

And lifts them up to greater heights.

For unemployment is not just a number,

It's a human tragedy that we should remember,

A plight that can happen to anyone,

And deserves our utmost attention.

Let us come together and do our part,

To support those who are struggling and smart,

To provide them with a chance to make a new start,

And let them shine like a bright new art.

For unemployment may be a curse we face,

But we can overcome it with strength and grace,

With unity, support, and a caring embrace,

And create a world where all can have a place.
