Truth Speaks Bitter
Truth Speaks Bitter
Truth is not the music of a Nightingale,
Or as a cuckoo that sings sweetly in spring.
Truth is the voice of Christ,
That on the cross it shines.
Truth is when he speaks,
"I am the water of life".
Truth is when he sings,
"I am the salt of the earth".
And for this, he dies.
Truth our Mansoor realizes,
And she ejaculates I am Braham,
For which he was butchered alive.
Socrates knows the meaning of truth,
Hemlock he drinks,
And makes goodbye forever.
Truth is what Kabira says,
God is not in temples or masque,
Hindus and Muslims both are false.
Truth breaks us in splinters,
To it, our blind beliefs surrender.
Truth does not speak sweet,
Wrapped in beauty looks very bitter.
