To My Hero
To My Hero
When my kids asked me if I’ve met a superhero
I would say lived rather met, with a superhero
A superhero who could put brains in a million brainless
(of course, I was an exception)
A superhero who yells at me one second
And laughs with me next
(i know, I know she was kinda complex)
Her powers were unlimited talk time with every now and then “get out”
And then her favorites were our doubts
(which we never asked)
My superhero’s costume was her smile
(which came once in a while)
But gave us the power to run a mile
Looking back, haven’t I realized
Those were the best days of my life
(but because of us my hero could barely survive)
Wouldn’t I change a thing if I went back
(except the yelling, and the homework)
At the end all I can say
As I try to express her my words lack.
Happy teachers day my hero.
