Through The Eyes Of A Fox

Through The Eyes Of A Fox

Misconception,

I’m not a coyote.

False interpretation,

Like calling “toad” a coqui.

I roam trying to break free,

Instead, I walk garbage and structures,

I want to hear the rustling leaves of the trees.

Not the horns of drivers.

The creek is deceased,

Polluted from the waste.

Before it was water, sweet.

Do you know how sewage water tastes?

I am a fox,

You call me sly,

I think you are right!

But what do I spy?

Children misusing the gift of life,

Misusing the gift of nature,

Children getting used to lies,

Living without knowing better

Don’t move out to nature,

When you say you love nature,

You end up kicking out nature,

And don’t let nature be nature.
