This Too Shall Pass

Bogged down by the everlasting memories,

I feel prey, to the nature of their haunting. 

Bring an end to the grief & anxiety,

How I wished if I could. 

Of the lessons, from the wise,

To let go of the past,

And live the present. 

What to come, in future, 

Made me anxious and worried.

In the end, the wise summarised it all,

For the message that was passed,

For the ages to come and go,

“This too shall pass!”.
