The Vanishing Angel
The Vanishing Angel
Walking on a clifftop with her long hair flowing in the breeze,
She looked like an angel just landed from heaven.
Wearing a bright white gown with a rose clipped on hair,
Moving fast as if she intends to catch a flight back to heaven.
She was unseen within a few minutes, with my naked eyes,
All my efforts have gone in vain, in search of her.
Like a moon shying away to show its face on a cloudy night,
Hiding behind thick dark clouds often, in the rains,
I lied down in the wet sands of the beach, thinking of her.
Her eyes were glowing like an led bulb,
But never showed me her face again.
Never tried my luck again to see her,
For, I knew she will never come back.
All it was nothing but a dream,
To cherish forever.
