The Spark Of An Ember

What do you do

When what once

Felt so right

Now feels so wrong

A glowing blaze

Withered and starved 

Reduced to nothing more

Than a dying ember 

What once fueled the flames

Now suffocating the fire

But you can’t let go

Not yet

So instead

You fan the coals

Waiting for a spark of hope

To relight the fire

That once left my heart

Glowing and bright

To bring back the blaze and

Light the way 

Back to your heart
