The Silent Scream…

Treading through the unknown path,

Facing life’s aftermath,

My heart gives its loudest cry,

Mocking people on the pry!!!

Suffocating environments causing dismay,

People making remarks cliché,

Fake smiles, superficial concern,

Lone in a crowd, empathy I yearn!!!

Standing at the juncture,

My heart wails with a rupture,

My screeches fall, all on deaf ears,

Shattered dreams, left with no fears!!!

Summons my inner voice to kindle the twilight,

As even your shadow leaves in darkness of the midnight,

So with a tear shed from the rheumy eye,

The silent scream bids its good bye!!!
