The Salt Doll And The Sea
The Salt Doll And The Sea
A doll, made of salt,
once visited the sea
to measure its depth;
But, on taking the plunge
the doll could not come
out of the sea, however
hard did it try, to tell its
experience.
For, in the process of the
dive, the doll had dissolved
into the sea and had become
the sea itself,
losing its personal self.
Such is the case as well,
is with the seeker of Truth.
The seeker melts and
moulds, little by little,
into Truth until finally,
he is absorbed completely
in It with no separate identity.
The seeker and the sought
become one and inseparable.
