The Piece Of Paper

The Piece Of Paper

1 min 200 1 min 200

Oh! I had this paper, tucked in some corner

This paper bore a yellowish-brown hue

Due to its age perhaps, it had those tinges few.

It’s important to me as I wrote in it a thing or two!

I struggled to find it in my otherwise uncluttered desk

I struggled to find it on my otherwise ordered shelf

I sure hoped to find it, folded inside some book; but

Alas! It wasn’t there too.

As I sat and began thinking of its whereabouts,

I just couldn’t recollect it or its contents.

Restless - I tried to hum a tune to calm my mind,

Useless it was, for the tune was falling behind!

And that was how I lost this important piece

Of paper and its contents forever.

It had these unwritten ruminations -

Out of the blue whatever!
