The Last Moment
The Last Moment
The clock ticks in rhythm with the heartbeat,
Inaudible to the noisy world - with voices overlapping each other,
But listen; silently, and you will hear the voice,
Of the time that flies away before you realize.
With each passing second, the Earth rotates,
In a gentle motion – just like the ocean waves,
As the sand in the hourglass decides our fate,
Urging us to notice the sand that remains.
Racing the clock is a losing battle,
Time is cunning and flies unnoticeable,
Snatching away every moment before we can grab it,
As every moment fades before we can relish it.
One day, your clock will stop,
Leaving behind an empty hourglass,
So live a life worth living,
For you never know when you’ll be leaving.
One day, your time will end,
Not knowing the last second,
Not valuing the lost seconds,
Not until the very last moment.
