The King Of Chess
The King Of Chess
I can remember my past days, long time back
That I call as my home was filled with love perfect.
Though the home was very small, happy all of us
No one ever complained of any reason or a cause.
My father was the King, and mom, Queen of home,
I took all of the privileges as a Prince of my kingdom
Mom loved me so much, father cared a lot
Poverty though prevailed, never touched the heart.
Before my retirement, I thought now I should move
This home is not enough as per my children’s views.
The house now we dwell in, brought a smile on every face
But I forgot smiling as each has a room separate
Privacy now prevailed, poverty though gone
Without knocking the door of one’s, can enter no one.
Now, I am the King of Chess like my legs in a sack
Can move one step forward, move one step back
