The Indigo Affair
The Indigo Affair
That indigo ink in my pen,
Brings an instant glow on my face...
Gives me new hope - of freshness, neatness, and beauty
To me, the ink pen is a medium through which I travel back in the memory lane
Fresh as a grade five student...
Holding that ink pen in my little fingers
Feeling no less than a conqueror
A grown-up after all - from pencil and eraser to this mighty ink pen!
But that same ink pen gave a silent message too...
Be careful now, because what you write will be hard to erase
This indigo colour will leave an impression - on you and many others
This ink, spilled once
Will ruin books, clothes, and your face
Use it gently, carefully, precisely...
But don't be scared of it,
Because the ink pen will guide you through
As you glide the beautiful words on paper
Your thoughts and dreams turning into reality
You will see a beautiful story written
And that spilled ink
Signifying your mistakes, heartbreaks, the lost love
Will fill you with pride...
"How far you've come; Oh how far!"
