The Great Reformer
The Great Reformer
The swift wing of time
Restoreth all
There come the weary days of mourning
Filled with pain, anguish and despair
Casting a dark Spectre of gloom
But at the dawn of another lapse
Are all carried away
By the swift wings of time
Like the flip and glide of an eagle.
The broad wing of time
Subsumed all
There come the reign of status quo
Holding sway for decades, nay centuries
Giving monotony a crown
But at the dawn another era
Are all subsumed
By the deepest gorge of time
Like a sweeping flood
Submerging altitudes and terrains.
In the motionless motion of time
We found our lost voices
And regain our lost hopes
For time is a great reformer.
