The Festival Of Lights

As deepavali is here

The sounds of firecrackers

Echoes throughout the streets

The sweet fragrance of flowers

And the incense sticks fills the air

The light from the candles and the lanterns

Illuminate the houses

The women are busy making colorful rangoli

There's joy on every face

As once again we celebrate

The triumph over the evil

And guide everyone to light from darkness.
