The Dream She Died For
The Dream She Died For
What if I die?,
A small girl asked her mother.
There was the reply,
I will be crying standing beside your father.
The family will be mourning ,
And it will be a new beginning.
After some time for everyone.
You will be a star along with the sun.
But mom what about other people,
My friends and those beetles,
Will they remember me ever?
My dear little doll, her mom said,
If you want your stories to be told,
To those kids who crawl,
You need a dream to die for.
You need a thing that drives you far,
And a position that gives you power.
It was a flashback at the time,
When the girl had a smile so divine.
The girl was stained in blood,
Lying surrounded by mud.
It was a war across the border,
And she was an injured soldier.
But the smile remained intact,
Because now people will remember her even if she is dead
And that's how she lived her dream and died for it.
