One mistake, a big mistake
That I committed one day.
Makes me anxious even today
And I can’t find my way.
I ask God at night,
“What should I do?”
His answer confuses me,
Keeps me up until two.
I think and repent
What I’ve done.
Why did it happen?
And mostly if I'll ever overcome?
It took one wrong step
To ruin my life.
This thought hurts me
Like wounding with a knife.
I fear to face that trouble,
And I spend time crying.
Oh, God! Give me courage
To face and succeed in the trying.
