The City
The City
The crazy mind in the lazy body
Talks to the neon lights.
The city of rusty dreams
Waits for the happy nights.
The roads take the soul
Through the whispering trees.
The land of hustling buzz
Waits for a new breeze.
The cool wind in the blue mind
Blows for a while.
The naked life talks to none
Waiting for a smile.
The blood in the veins
Becomes more scarlet.
The time warns of a blue chaos
For love and hatred.
The dead city time and again
Tries to be reborn.
The crazy lights struggle to console
The people, who mourn.
The buses keep running fast.
The trains do the duties.
The trams fume in heavy anger.
The city watches movies.
The crowd does not talk anymore.
The jobless cries in pain.
The arrogant leaders keep talking
In outrageous disdain.
The time warns of chaos and chaos.
The mind waits for peace.
The city wants to rise up again-
From the chaotic abyss.
There will be time to rejoice again.
The hope whispers amidst the acid rain.
