The Choice
The Choice
All of us have dreams
Castles and ambitions stream
From our childhood
Do we imagine Robinhood
Fairy tales of old
Tend to be ours to hold.
After fortifying our dreams
To our teens, we proceed
That's where we meet
Reality and failure's greet
Often do we face a situation
Where we are at an inhibition
Missing our mark at aim
Making us choose with pain.
That's the point we choose
To what we want to lose
The shackles of our situation
Or our childhood dreams.
Then we make a turn
That will make us burn
Either to our childhood fantasy
Or with ever hurting tenacity.
Those who follow their dreams
Are the ones who often dare
To take the turn upstream
And not give up on their dreams.
The turns we often make
Are the ones that lead
Either to a defeat or victory
But surely a rendezvous with destiny.
We often fail to leap
At the slightest obstacle
For which we often reap
Our failure as a spectacle.
It's the leap of faith
At the turning point
That decides our fate
At the endpoint.
The common thing in history
Of people reaping victory
Is their braving of mystery
At a turn of destiny.
Those who shy at risks
Often never get the trick
Because success is a journey
That every corner failure lurks.
As we face a choice
Among the surrounding noise
We must find out the voice
So that we rejoice.
If at crossroads facing the exit
Our guts should help us fix it
But remember that consequences
Are always yours to enjoy or regret.
The advice that we must choose
Before chasing the goose
Takes a call on our win or lose.
It's important to get counsel
From people who think more than a morsel
Each turn has a signpost
Which will lead us if we read it.
