The Challenge

The Challenge

1 min
365

With whims galore, she entered the tribe

To make her mark and win without a bribe

He challenged her you can't do it

You don't have it in you

But she wanted to prove him that he was wrong here too

She took the mike and started off her scribe

As she spoke, her words made a connect

People couldn't help but direct

Their attention to her prose

which she so ably said and rose

It takes a minute to tarnish one's image

But it takes a lifetime to build that image

Just as it was time for her to finish her speech

He came to her and took the mike within his reach

I'm sorry he told, I misjudged you

In envy, I couldn't fathom the capability in you

You are much more than a master with words

You are much better than words I used for you to curse

You proved it to be in broad daylight

That pen is mightier than the sword and you were damn right.
