As a child I was fascinated by

The stories of superheroes

He made it all right

Saving all from the blight

Whether it was a quake or tornado

He would rip through the apocalypto

To save mankind from dooming

So I waited for him

While life threw torrents

That he would rescue from the rubble

And end all my trouble

But life was no fairytale

I had to sail through the gale

Finally, a superhero did arrive

Not from thin air but from within
