Sunshine

Warmth during a freezing morning,

Is like the sweetness of nectar amid sourness!

The beauty of rays entering the small gaps of the window

Captivates my mind... like a cupid with an arrow.

Its temporary, yes! But won’t vanish very soon.

It stays in the eyes like a sweet peck on my cheeks.

Yellowness in its features cannot be found everywhere

‘coz it is not just a colour, it is colour of calmness.

I step out and look to the side, it welcomed me and stayed beside.

The lamp couldn’t flicker more as it flushed at the rays of shine.

Newspaper stayed still; I am sure even it stayed calm

For the rays were blushing and not giving up on its charm!

Such winter mornings get a sweet peck from the shine

And I sway along with them as if they are mine...

A cup of tea, a rocking chair and a subtle mind

Hush! I wait for thee, for the moments like this are difficult to find.

Where did the calmness disappear, in the hustle of life?

Dear sunshine, bring back this hope every morning

For us to settle our racing mind and

I wish I sip my tea without a rush towards reaching a line.
