Moonlit Nights!

In the darkness of Calm night, 

Thou presence is clear and bright

Darkness never touched you

And clouds couldn't hide you!

Stars twinkled and smiled at thou

…like the two childhood friends,

Giggling on the school ground

You both are disconnected yet connected

Brightening the night sky!

Through the window, I looked at thou

You shined in the loneliness…

And your glow sprinkled a glory over mine!

I stood there, wandering in mind

Thoughts kept flapping like a bird quarantined.

But, then I looked at thou

Not yours, Yet thy mirrored light brightly outshined!

Restlessness still worries me

I wish I had the power to make the changes

My wishful mind suffers in this situation of bondage

And then I looked at thou

Only to self-enlighten that, if not during the day

You ruled the night and your powers stayed!

Smiling at you I said it loud, for my mind in silence

"The moonlit beauty of the night, couldn't be vanished

By the cotton-like clouds,

Because thy splendour that brightens the night

Is the charm of your beautiful self!"
