Summer's First Rain
Summer's First Rain
It was a bright day
Till the chills came to give a shiver
And the clouds on way to make a traffic
But something strange to be found in me
A feeling of angst, joy, and sadness emerged like this rain on a summer's day
Oh the water which was uninvited to us
Hadn't it made us wet
Now I saw the angst conquer my mind
It cursed the rain to its shame
What to do I was wet and cold to angst anymore
The drops hit the soil and leaves
Leaving the fragrance of the earth to calm the soul
The beauty I saw was beyond the cold I felt
Oh I went to make myself wet yet again
But this time it was joy who made its way for the heart of wild
When will it stop, I thought the as drops were dripping from its cloth
Time was passing as it went down heavier
My patience was in a run, oh please make this rain stop
Why was my inner voice talking about anxiousness to my mind
And that's how I was stuck with feelings of sadness
This day was memorable like the day I was born
It showed the beauty from itself but I showed hatred for the muddy way
Oh no mother is to be mad for this mess
Still, the chills gave me a shiver which I like just as the fragrance of earth
Now I'm ready to bear the lecture for today
Because I felt the rain on a summer's day
