SOLITARY MOON

SOLITARY MOON

1 min
264

I’m here alone, sitting by myself,

On this lonely night.

The ground; cold and hard.

The bruises, the pain, make my body feel apart.

Looking for a source of comfort, my eyes drifted to the sky,

Catching a glimpse of the autumn moon.

That shines brightly.

If you look close enough, you might see those marks on the moon.

They look like those scrapes that are healed by time, but leave a mark.

It was beautiful...

The moon, it felt lonely, bearing the pain alone,

Still, it shined brightly.

The moon reminded me of myself. It was lonely and pained.

It gave me its moonlight; it gave me comfort.

But I had nothing to give to the moon.

So, the moon asked me to promise something.

It asked me to shine brightly like itself.

So that all my pain and sufferings gets replaced by the warmth my shine would bring me.
