Soldiers

Miles miles away from home,

Away from their family and friends.

Carrying the dreams and hope of the land,

They stood with courage to protect the nation.

 

They held the flag high and never retreat,

Even when the comrades are strike down.

They never quit and stand tall,

And proceed further until the battle gets over.

 

They devote their life for the nation,

Giving broken promises of safe returned

. With tears in their eyes,

Because some never return home safely.

 

They are the real life heroes,

Who shed tears and blood.

Bury their fears and tears with courage,

And wear a battle scars with pride as a war-paint.
