Will you be.....but what will you be?
Roles are many but onerous indeed
For the time is running and moments cease
If you be, what will you be?
When praises ooze out and successes appeal
When glories surround and appreciations feel
Will you be my inspiration;
A critic I choose who never conceals?
When the sails are low and the wind's no more
When life's becalmed with cessations unknown
Will you be my strength;
A friend I have who's never estranged?
When the world turns over and self doubt veils
When everything seems a lie and the mind's frail
Will you be my confidant;
A book I write that's never reread?
When nights grow darker and distress seep,
When the past rise and silences speak,
Will you be my light;
A lamp I light that never dies?
When the heartaches more and the bruises pain
When betrayals cut deep and numbness stays
Will you be my lover;
A character I build that has no fate?
When beauty perishes and the mere body remains
When everyone's left and oblivion prevails
Will you be my reminiscence;
A memory I make that never fades
If you be, what will you be?
How will you, why will you be?
Ifs are many buts are more
Will you be my certainly; the answer to all...
