Silent Clamour

Silent Clamour

As thoughts and ideas converge on what to write,

Instantaneously am reminded of nature's unfathomed plight,

How it has been so far ravaged & plundered to the very soul?

Unmindful and insensitive to the repercussions for our own very soul,

Bridled with unthinkable traumas, injuries & hurt manifold,

Unimaginable is the devastation unleashed so far unheard & untold,

The times when nature used to sooth every aching heart,

For all that we have done is to shred the very fabric apart,

So much so that our very existence is now in question,

Can we stem the looming & impending annihilation?
