She
She
She doesn't need your comments to tell her,
If she is skinny or fat or maybe just fine
She doesn't need your comments to tell her,
That half of her life has just been a lie
She doesn't need your comments to tell her,
To get some skinny clothes,
And then the world will be hers
And by the world she means,
This social media world,
Where you comment and like,
But then say a 100 words about her behind
She asks herself when she looks in the mirror,
What is this weird obsession with perfection?
Am I not perfect and worth it?
But she wants to be seen as beautiful too
She looks at other's profiles,
And tries to dress like them
She puts on that makeup
And posts a pic and dreams of getting a 1000 likes
Internally, NO!
She doesn't want that,
And neither can she keep up
That sweet fake smile
She doesn't need your comments to tell her,
That how she should live her life
She defies your world
Cause its not her type,
But maybe all that she needs is little hope and sunshine
She will wear her oversized clothes
Cause she's imperfectly perfect
Your comments are yours,
But her life is hers.
