See myself

I see myself as a book,

that some people might want to read,

while some might just want

to leave me on a shelf

I have my favorite chapters

inside my own narrative;

but I know that not everyone

would like to know my plot;

not all people

might want to learn about my story

and it's fine,

for I also have some parts of me

that I didn't want to go back to;

I have pages in me

that I no longer want to re-read;

and I have portion of my tale

that I badly desire

to just tear down and be forgotten

alike anybody else,

I am still discovering me

and out of all the stories I've read,

mine is still the best one

that I will choose to live
