Save Earth

Some time ago, our world was small, 

Earth had enough rain and waterfall.

All the animals lived in harmony,

Nature belonged to all, there wasn't any agony.

There wasn't any rush or push, 

Children could play around the bush.

We felt good helping each other,

Giving time and space to our neighbour.

We could drink water wherever we saw,

There wasn't need of any filter or RO

Even at ninety, people were fit and fine,

Enjoying life like on cloud nine.

We enjoyed the cool nights with shining stars,

No one even dreamt of stepping on Mars.

Everything has changed now,

Even farmers have forgotten to sow.

Wild animals have gone extinct,

What should we do there's no hint.

Neglecting nature is our biggest sin.

As a result, we have less rain and no green.

With global warming and water scarcity,

Our lives are dark without electricity.

Save Earth and water and forest,

This is to everyone our humble request.

True, we travelled and covered the sky and earth,

With all the achievements, there's still some dearth.

To survive here, a war to be fought, 

Feel sad that even drinking water is to be bought.

We learnt to fly like birds, swim like fish and crawl like snake in trains,

But ever live like human beings with heart and brains?

Live and let live is the thing so simple,

Let's learn from animals this golden principle.
