Revelations

It's said, it takes time
To reveal itself
The way it truly is.
Sometimes its sweet
It lifts you up; but
It does leave you
Half-way up.

But then like Pandora's box
You've still got hope
But when it reveals
Its true self
Mere hope may
Change no fate.

Sometimes at dusk
When no one's around,
What people reveal
Is the truth itself,
Which at dawn
They hide away.

Then there are some
With heart of Hades.
But,with a hell to run
They keep out the lights,
And darken the soul
To never reveal its true self.
