Reminiscence

Reminiscence

The hues of green and brown in his eyes reminds me of a memory,

The garden back in my old home where the wildflowers grew astray;

Was drawn in the palms of my year old self.

And the lullabies my mother hummed almost in the perfect symphony it seemed

It put me in a sanctuary of warmth and dreams.

The elation of a year old life and a happy ending with every night,

Is everything the depth of his eyes still brings to me in the moment of a gaze.
