Punishment
Punishment
The red liquid oozed out,
The incisions burnt,
The water flowed,
The black spread,
The cherry smudged,
The sound muffled,
Due to the weight kept.
Of the waxed smooth skin.
Caused by the hardened finger nails
And scattered sand and shreds of glass.
Out of the corner of the eyes.
That adorned the lips.
By a layered rough cloth and also a thick rough hand.
On the petite frame.
Because she was being punished,
For voicing her mind,
For using her eyes,
For asserting her rights,
For taking her flight,
For daring to live her life.
