Promise
Promise
Staring into a distant blue
And it’s crazy to see
What you have become
And what you could be
You could have just left
Without anything to say,
What if our promise was not kept
And you would just go away?
You were a black raven
Amidst a flock of doves
A lone star
Forgotten in the heavens above
Let times pass by
And tell its tale
But I hope our bond
Will never fail.
After all, who cares,
Who comes and who goes?
Well, I’m here to say,
That your raven presence shows.
Don't give up just yet
Give it another thought.
When two forces would have met
They must have said a lot.
And the world would be a lot darker,
If you ever left.
So just promise me you'll stay,
And our promise will be kept.
