Pacify
Pacify
She wears a long coat of pink,
A green scarf, all sealed with a coy wink.
She seemed to care, but her heart was bare,
Waiting for a sail of hope
That was soon going to sink.
No laugh, no smile.
No shout, no cry.
He lay across in a cot,
But she was there to pacify.
She took it on herself to stay,
To love, to care for the rest of time.
It was only her, no one else,
Sitting by his side and beginning the long climb.
He lay in his sleep
A tiny smile crept on his lips ,
That tender heart,
Had now sailed the most loving ships
She stood there with pride,
He needed her in order to survive,
And there she now lay by his side.
It was the beginning that ended a long stride.
A thousand tears shed,
In every hand was she held,
Lifeless yet full of life,
Plucked but still alive.
Both held the same fate,
Drawn away from the world that was full of hate.
Both had the same heart,
That was pure yet torn apart.
There she lay, the beautiful rose,
On the little boys chest.
And the tiny coffin was shut,
As they hoped for the best.
He was was not alone,
And as time flew by,
Their hearts grew together,
Because she was there to pacify
