The young ones and their tales of childhood, are dear to us all –

Childhood comes once in life, enjoy it in the open, not in sequestered mall,

Little ones understand the language of their ilk, across continents in wild call,

Please do not trample childhood by gadgets of technology standing tall.

Playmates of children and their antics make us laugh with joy-

Children love to play with things; a teddy bear is merely a stuffed toy,

Children are the blessings of God to man; pamper them with mixtures of alloy

Gone are the days when they kept mum and stoo

d behind us in a gesture coy.

We were all children once, in days long gone by,

Adulthood had cast those days in sombre colors and noble dye

Tears in the eyes of children are hard to bear; never let them cry

Bless them with all your might so that they scale mountains sky high.

Joy and laughter are inseparable playmates of children, come what may

These young ones are our future; they must shine as clear as day

Out in the open, they must go and spend their time in play –

Nature and children are as pristine as morning whatever you say.
