Poetry Paperboats

Monsoons were forever dear,

For scrubbing the fears head to toe,

For washing off the dirt of gloom unheard.

An inexplicable power of insanity,

With a magic of delighted droplets,

Drench me and soak me utterly into them.

I feel weightless and my desires,

Squeeze words and verses of their voyages;

Voyages through the dense rain forest,

Through the alleys full of endless water.

My thoughts, deep, dark and   intense;

Engrave their mysterious travelogue; as they

Wonder like homeless nomads,

Dressing as gypsy attires they search for,

A home to drop the versified lyrics,

An abode to synthesize the melodies,

& a residence to shelter the poems.

Paper boats are fond of the scribbled words;

They applause, they dance in ecstasy,

They took pride & they dare to carry my words;

They sacrifice their life to travel in a storm,

To make my vagrant words reach their home.

As I presaid: monsoons are my heart's desire

Just to recall the heroic paper boats,

For how they loved my poetry and stories,

For floating delight in the furious waves, and

For calling themselves as 'Poetry-paper boats’'.
